1894 ONE-PENNY Overprint on Sixpence Revenue Issue. CA over Crown Watermark. Perf 14.
In early summer 1894, an overprinting of ONE-PENNY on 6d revenue stamps was undertaken locally.
Although no official sanction has been found for this issue, a small number of internal commercial covers
have survived showing that these stamps served a genuine postal purpose. Numbers issued are not known.
