Scouting Around the World Lithuanian DP Camp Kempten
A Lithuanian DP camp was located at Kempten in Allgiiu, Bavaria.
The camp housed about 1,100 Lithuanians during the 1945-1949 period.
The Lithuanian Scouting association was formed in 19 18, and 1948 was
a year of jubilee in the Lithuanian Scouting activities. A Lithuanian Boy
Scout camp was held in Mittenwald in Bavaria, Germany. Kempten
and Mittenwald were both located in the American occupation zone.
