Sco utin g in the Netherland s started in 1910. Th at year the first Scout troops were formed
in a few c iti es. T he first national organization was founded in 1910 as well :
the Nederland se Padvinders Organi satie (Netherland s Pathfi nder Organi sation, boys only) .

In 19 13 was the first Boy Scout encampment (from 24 July to 7 August) w ith internati onal
participat ion, near the port c ity of ljmuiden in the vicini ty of Amsterdam.

Thi s handstamp is li sted by F. W. van der Wart: "rec lamehand stempels en ge legenheidsstempels"
( 1977) as officially used at the temporary post offi ce in the cam p.

The postage stamp is cancell ed "IJM UID EN 24.7.13'', first day of camp.
