Jamaica: Llandovery Falls, 1900 - 1901.
Watermark large Crown above CC sideways. Comb perforated 14.
There were three plates and two printings of the single-colour Llandovery, in April – July 1900 and
February 1901, a total of 5,575,080 stamps. The stamp was issued on 1 May 1900.
The paper used for both Llandovery stamps was watermarked large Crown above CC, normally
oriented sideways with the top to the left.
The words CROWN COLONIES appear upright across the top margin and inverted across the
bottom margin. Only some of these words appear on each sheet because the full sized mill sheet
with its marginal inscription was wider than a single sheet of these stamps.
