Jamaica Registration: Overseas, 1888.
The registration fee was 4d to Postal Union members from Jamaica joining in 1877 until 1893.
Registered cover to Sierra Leone, 1888.
Sierra Leone joined the Postal Union in 1879. Correspondence between Jamaica and West Africa
arose because the West India regiment served there, fighting the Ashanti wars.
Revenue stamps pay some or all of the postage on both these covers, as authorized from 1887.
