This single line overprint in purple (occasionally approaching black) is found on ordinary and,
rarely, on service stamps. The new currency, in serif letters, is enclosed in a bracket. There is a
full stop after the word Paisa on all values other than the 6 Paisa I 1 Anna where the full stop is
after the 6. Other than on the 12 Paisa I 2 Annas value there may be a line (or in the case of the 3
Paisa I 6 Pies value a double line) above or below the overprint.
Used across a fairly wide area from February until November 1961 with occasional later dates
noted. The most frequent usage is at Talagang but postmarks of Campbellpur, Hazro, Lawa, Sikka,
Camp P.O. L-397 and Tamman.(Chakwal District) also recorded.
