                                               LAKKI MARWAT

            This distinctive boxed handstamp, used on both ordinary and service stamps, shows both the old
            and new currencies.  The pre decimal currency is shown as - I 4 I - meaning 4 Annas.  There is
            usually a dash between the number and the word Paisa in the new currency. There are two slightly
            different types of handstamp. Struck in black ink on the 2 Paisa I 3 Pies value and otherwise in
            shades of purple.

            Recorded with Lakki Marwat and Bannu postmarks from January 1961 but mainly in April and
            May of that year.            ·

            Type 1.  Capital Pin Paisa. Height of figures and P 3 mm, Length of Paisa 8.5/9 mm, Box 17 /l 8mm
            x 12/13mm.
            Type 2. As Type 1 but all letters are in lower case.
