double ring cancel FRESHWATER STATION/I OF WIGHT dated
22nd December 1927 without index or time. Struck at right is the ld

tax mark ld/TO PAY/296 ofFreshwater Station. This number
replaced the original number H06 in 1924. It should be noted that
the ld tax mark has been deleted and replaced with a manuscript

"3" below; indicating that this was the only tax mark available at
this time
