Shanghai was occupied the Japanese at the time this letter was written, and at best
 would have been sent by surface mail to Hong Kong. Transit time likely to be up to a
 month, although that is complete guesswork. The last mail flight out of Hong Kong was 5
 Readdressed to Alexandria (also 30 Dec 1941). Censored in Sydney, but not elsewhere.
