Apollo 17 (AS-512) Last Man On The Moon
The oblique picture on the left is of the Taurus-Littrow Valley, look-
ing south-southwest. It was taken from the Lunar Module's one orbit
prior to its landing. The valley is in the center of the picture, with
South Massif above the valley and North Massif to the right. There is
a cluster of small craters in the center of the valley. The LM landed
just no1ih of this cluster, to the right in this view. Mare Serenitatis is
visible at the top of the picture, above the mountains. (NASA photo-
