Apollo 15 (AS-510) Hadley Rille
Apollo 15 blasted off on 26 July 1971. In command of an all-air force crew was
David Scott who previously flew on Apollo l 0, joined by newbies Al Worden
CM pilot, and James Irwin LM pilot. Their destination was Hadley Rille, a
snaking canyon in the Mare Imbrium surrounded by the Appenine Mountains.
This made it the most challenging landing so far, with Flacon the most heavily
laden LM.
