Type I perforation tool of 1855 b. Yellowish brown
Fifth Letter Mail rate from STOCKHOLM 28.6.1867 to France
Mixed franking, 3 öre + 9 öre (d) blue‐violet + 4 x 50 öre (g2) violet‐tinged rose = 212 öre paying the
fourth (22,5 gram ≤ 30 gram) letter mail rate via Prussia (STRALSUND‐BERLIN on reverse) to France, in
force from 23.4.1867 until 31.3.1869. The rate was 23 öre per 7,5 gram plus 40 öre per 15 gram.
”235” in manuscript indicates the correct rate and that this cover is insufficiently prepaid with one
weight class i.e.23 öre: 212 öre ‐ (5x23 öre + 3x40 öre =) 235 öre = 23 öre.
