D. Route Agents "Steamer 10" Marking

There is some question whether the "Steamer 10" marking is a route agent or a steamboat
marking. The scant evidence points to a route agent marking used on the steamer Oregon in the
fall of 1847 on the coast run between New York, NY and Fall River, MA.
