This class of mail item has had many different titles over the years, such as Book Post, Commercial Papers,
Newspapers, Samples or Patterns, but has generally become known under the generic name of Printed Papers.
1905 - Book Post wrapper from Freetown to Bath, England
This wrapper is endorsed in manuscript Book Post, and prepaid 2d allowing up to 4oz at the 1d per 2oz rate.
At this date the ordinary letter rate to the United Kingdom was 1d per half-ounce.
The adhesives were cancelled at Plymouth (11 August 1905) on arrival in England.
