These four stamps, the first on the new CA watermarked paper, were despatched on 25 October 1882. They
had a short life due to the UPU colour changes. All values on cover, and mint examples of the 1d and 4d
values, are elusive.

This is the earliest recorded use of the 4d stamp on CA watermarked paper.
