Double-Circle Freetown Postmarks with Thick Bars
Freetown was the only office to use double circle handstamps with thick bars. Four different devices were used;
with the final three overlapping in date. They can be distinguished most easily by the presence of a dot between
the A and L at the base, or the width of the gap in the same place.
