Scouting Around the World Czechoslovakia
Right: The first Slovakian Scout Congress took
place in Z ilina I0-11 Nov. 1945.
The postmark was used one day only, o n 11 Nov
1945 (CS-008). "ZILINA I I. SNEM
SLOVENS KYC H SKAUTOV 11.Xl.1945", on
phil ate lic postcard with Prague address.
Below: The second Scout congress took place in rtr QI y L
Prague 9- 10 February, 1946. 2,000 Boy Sco uts and
Girl Guides from Bohemia & Moravia participated,
as we ll as a large delegation fro m Slovak ia. On the
intitiative of Slovak Scouts, a united organi sati on
"Czechos lovakian Scouts" was founded on I0 Feb.
The postmark (CS-010) was in use one day on ly.
Registered domestic letter sent on the fou nding day
fo r the new organ isat ion. Two types of registration
labe ls are recorded for thi s event.
The only recorded item with blue text on label,
and five-digit R-number.
