Scouting Around the World Sweden
Th e Sa lvation Army commenced Scouting activities in Sweden in 19 16, under the name Li fe Sav ing Scouts. From
1943 th ey cha nged na me to Fralsnin gsannens Scoutforbund (Th e Sa lvati on Army Guide and Scout Assoc iation )
and are affi liated to the Swedi sh Scout Union. In 1946, the 2ot1' a nni versary was marked by a national Boy Sco ut
camp at Sparre ho lm, some 80 km west of Stockho lm. The spec ial postmark (S-009) was used 7 July- 5 August.
