Post Office at Gillingham Station
South Eastern Trains plans to close the Post Office at Gillingham Station in
April.
I appreciate that this will come as a disappointment to those of you who
relied upon it. However, we've taken this difficult decision in light of ·the
need to focus all our efforts upon our core business, namely operating a
railway service .for the duration of the South Eastern franchise ·
The closure of the Post Office will increase the number of staff on hand to
serve passengers and provide them with informatio,n ·and this should also
ensure a cleaner, more wekoming station environment.·
Once closed, the nearest Po_st Office . will be 47 Green Street,
approximately 5 minutes walk from the station.
I do hope you will understand why we've taken this decision, but I'd like to
take this. opportunity to apologise for the obvious inconvenience it will cause.
