Cooper's Hotel
                           Bouverie Street, Fleet Street

                                     1819-1838
The earliest mention ofthis establishment was in British Imperial
Calendar in 1819 and it was listed in directories from 1826 to 1838 as
Cooper's Hotel. In 1826 its proprietor was Robert Cooper and by 1832 it
was described as a Family Hotel. The last mention was in 1838 when its
address was given as 15, Bouverie Street under the ownership ofR. I
Cooper.

   A letter written by M. Buswell at Bibury House, Fairford on 4th June 1822
   addressed to John Deverell Esq., solicitor at Cooper's Hotel, Bouverie
   Street, London where it arrived the next day although there are 3 red
   afternoon timestamps, two for the 5th and one for the ?111. The letter
   outlines the several life policies Buswell has and discusses the financial
   difficulties ofthe Deverell family. A fine black wax seal.
