/ A caricature of John's Coffee House 1745
/A letter written in Sandwich, evidenced by a black handstamp (KT977),
by Daniel Rainier on 11 th April 1774 addressed to William White, broker,
at John's Coffee House, Cornhill where it arrived the next day, evidenced
by two black bishop marks. The letter expresses concern that he has had
no reply to an earlier letter asking White to transfer £300 of 3% Consols
and remit the funds to Child & Co to whom he has a bill of value to them
which falls due tomorrow. The letter is replied to on the 18th.
