A ld pink enyelope addressed to Lloyd's Coffee House, London posted in
r Abingdon, Oxfordshire on 19th May 1850 evidenced by a blue datestamp
on the reverse which arrived on London the next morning.

A drawing of the salvage operation in progress on the Lutine off the coast
of Holland in 1867. The ship's bell was brought up in 1857 and today
hangs in Lloyd's where it is rung to signal the arrival of important news;
once for good, twice for bad.
