Aletter written by William Smith on 19th February 1803 in Liverpool
evidenced by the date stamp LL63 in black which arrived in London two ·
days later evidenced by L13 in red with the code D. The letter, addressed
to John R Packer, writes to confirm that his tea bales have been shipped
aboard the John Adams which will sail "as soon or sooner than any other
vessel for Boston" and confirms that "the Bill of Lading for John Adams
shall be forwarded to you the beginning of next week".
