Parliament Street Coffee House

                                                        (1772-1834)

                     Parliament St. was created in 1756 to give important access between
                     Whitehall and the Houses ofParliament. The earliest mention was in
                      1772 as a place advertisements for the Morning Post & Daily Advertiser
                     could be left. Frequented by Irish gentlemen and those belonging to the
                     Treasury.

                  II A letter posted in Manchester, evid;nced by a black UDC on 9th February
                                       1794 which arrived in London on the 11th. Black Bishop mark. Charged
