Parliament St. was created in 1756 to give important access between
Whitehall and the Houses ofParliament. The earliest mention was in
1772 as a place advertisements for the Morning Post & Daily Advertiser
could be left. Frequented by Irish gentlemen and those belonging to the
Treasury.
