Scottish Mail Around the World
This section is geographically organized and designed to show the wide spread of Scottish postal history by
destination. By mid-century, Scotland was importing and exporting goods around the world, while Scots who had
migrated often maintained business alliances back home. While overlapping in concept with the earlier exhibit
chapters, mail at this time is often in envelopes and without the contents, yet business names and known economic
aspects are described. Section Ordered: Europe, British N01th America, United States, West Indies, Central & South
America, Africa, Asia and Australasia.
