The following Bags of Letters were in the Mail, viz.
FOR WARRINGTON. FOR LIVERPOOL.

Kendall Kendal
Lancaster Lancaster
Preston Preston
Chorley Chorley
Chorley for Wigan, and Preston for Wigan. The Preston and Chorley Bags for Liverpool, and the Chorley Bags for Wigan,
were afterwards found unopened, some others were found open and empty, and the rest are missing.
Whoever shall apprehend and convict, or cause to be apprehended and convicted, the person who committed this
robbery, will be entitled to a Reward of TWO HUNDRED POUNDS, over and above the Reward of FORTI POUNDS given by
Act of Parliament for apprehending Highwaymen; or if any person, whether an accomplice in the robbery, or knowing
thereof, shall surrender himself, and make discovery, whereby the person who committed the same may be apprehended
and brought to justice, such discoverer will be entitled to the same reward of Two Hundred Pounds, and will also receive
his Majesty's most gracious pardon.

MAIL ROBBERY.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GNEN,
THAT the Boy carrying the MAIL from WIGAN to CHORLEY, in the County of Lancaster, was, this Morning about.five
o'Clock, attacked upon the Road between Worthington Mill and Worthington Hall, within the Township of Worthington, and
there robbed of the Portmanteau, (by a Foot-Pad, who carried it away) containing the following Bags of Letters; viz. from
Liverpool to Chorley Warrington to Chorley
Do. to Blackburn Do. to Blackburn
Do. to Preston Do. to Preston
Do. to Lancaster Do. to Lancaster
Do. to Kendal Do. to Kendal
Do. to Penrith Do. to Penrith
Do. to Carlisle Do. to Carl isle
Wigan to Chorley, with Letters for Blackburn, &c.
Do. to Preston, with Letters to be forwarded.
Between nine and ten o'Clock this Forenoon, was found, in the Township of Wigan aforesaid, the Portmanteau opened
and empty.
Whoever will apprehend, or cause to be apprehended, the Person who committed the Robbery, will, on Conviction, be
entitled to a Reward of TWO HUNDRED POUNDS.
Any Persons finding any of the Bags or Letters, are desired to bring them to the Post-Office, Wigan.
All Tradesmen, &c. are desired to be cautious what Bills they take, and to notice Strangers offering any.
