During the direct sorting process the
letter had slipped resulting in the axis
of the idents being rotated by 45°.

The mechanised sorting office in Coen which opened in June 1978 was
amongst the first to identify its twenty coding desks with alpha-geometric
idents. A further ten coding desks were installed the following month of
twhich one was B
