First Air Mail Service from Portuguese Guinea
30 September 1938 - Bolama to Freetown.
A few months after the Bathurst to Freetown service
had commenced, a stop was introduced at Bolama in
Portuguese Guinea. Mail was picked up and dropped
off in both directions. This cover was carried by Elders
Colonial Airways flight BF15 which left Bathurst on
1 October 1938.
In addition to the adhesives on the front there are three x
10c and one 20c on the back, making a total rate of 3.15e.
There is a Freetown backstamp of 1 October.
