Mafwe

The location of Mafwe has not been definitively established. It is known that in Port Loko  Mafwe
the 1940s it was the home of a group of American missionaries in the vicinity 
of Makeni, although the precise location cannot be found. It is also not certain
that the office called Mafweh that is known from one postmark in 1932 is the  Freetown
same village. No opening or closures reported in the Sierra Leone Royal Gazette.

The air mail rate to the USA was 4s per half ounce from 30 December 1943.
