In 1950, Bergen di stri ct of the Norwegian Boy
Scouts Assoc iati on held a camp on Tv ildemoen
near Voss. 673 Boy Scouts participated,
includin g guests from Denmark, Sweden and
U.S.A. The camp motto was " Brotherhood" .

The rura l post offi ce which operated in the camp
used a spec ial postmark (N-01 6) 1- 10 July.
The postmark was of the crown-a nd-posthorn
type with out date, and postal items should
accordin g to regul ations be postmarked with a
datestamp when the items arrived at a post
office with such postmark, in thi s case Yoss
post office. Thi s was often neglected.

Savings stamps for the 1950 Voss camp.
The Boy Sco ut could buy sav ings stamps
coll ect them in a booklet. The camp fee
was paid when the bookl et had been fill ed.
