29th May 1864, I Y4 Schilling Courant Duchy of Schleswig (Mi4) cancelled with Danish three ring
numeral 16 for Flensburg with Prussian double eds FLENSBURG.
Sent to Veile in Denmark during the period without postal agreement between Denmark and Schleswig which lasted from
4th March I 864 to In August I 865. I '.4 Schilling Courant was equal to four Danish Skilling which was the correct rate
from the Duchy of Slesvig prior to the war, and the letter is therefore correctly paid.
9th July 1864, I Y4 Schilling Courant Duchy of Schleswig (Mi4) cancelled with Danish three ring
numeral 31 for Bahnhof Husum with Danish Ant Ill datestamp BAHNHOF HUSUM sent to
Schleswig. Correctly franked for internal rate within the Duchy of Schleswig. On reverse boxed
two line SCHLESW.POST.SPED.BUR. siidlich for the Schleswig railway.
