Franked with I~ Schilling Courant (Mi4) annulled by Danish mute three ring
canceller (latest recorded use) with Prussian datestamp double eds KEITUM.
On reverse boxed SCHLESW.POST.SPED.BUR. siidlich; Prussian double eds
TONDERN and arrival AL TONA on 29th February. (E)
7th August 1865, Envelope sent to K0benhavn from Hadersleben bearing I ~ Schilling green '
Duchy of Schleswig (Mi4) cancelled with Prussian double eds HADERSLEBEN. On front boxed
Unzureichend frankirt (insufficiently paid) and on reverse Ant V KJ0BENHA VN.
Postage from the Duchy of Schleswig remained at pre-war rates until the agreement between Denmark and the
Duchies on I•< August 1865. Here, the inland rate, rather than the new foreign rate was paid, therefore the Danish
postal authorities charged the receiver 6 Skilling for postage due.
