                   I 2th October 1865, Underpaid envelope sent via Altona, Hamburg and Lubeck to
                 K0benhavn from Schleswig bearing damaged  Y2  Schillinge (Mi8) and  I ~ Schilling (Mi9)
              cancelled with Prussian double eds SCHLESWIG. On front boxed Unzureichend frankirt
                    (insufficiently paid) 5 and 5 marked for postage due. Fewer than 5 recorded. (E)

                From  15 August 1865 the rate to Denmark was 2 Schilling Courant for franked and 3 Schilling Courant (I 0
              Skilling) for unfranked mail.  Underpaid mail was treated as unfranked, the value of the stamps, 5.6 Skilling, was
                     deducted, and the remaining 4.4 Skilling rounded up to 5 Skilling and charged to the recipient.
