unusually bearing 2 Schillinge and 4 Schillinge (defective) Duchy of Schleswig Mi 16 and 17. Cancelled
and datestamped with Prussian two ring ECKERNF6RDE. On reverse framed three line railway
POST-SPED BUR HAMBURG LUBECK with transit marks Ant V KI0BENHA VN and
SAND0SUND.
Correctly franked as set out in "Verordnungsblatt (Official notices) fur das Herzogthum Schleswig Nr. 3 vom 2""
October 1865 - Circular Nr 47/1865 vom 29.9.1865." This being 6 Schillinge made up from 8 Norwegian Specie Skilling
= 4 Schillinge, and the internal Danish rate of 2 Schillinge. (E)

The correct rate from the Duchy of Schleswig to Prussia was 4 Schillinge (3 Silbergroschen) and the
manuscript 2 represents the Prussian share of the postage.
