           0  I 4th August 1865, Envelope sent from Eckernforde in Slesvig to T orderud pr. Moss in  Norway
           unusually bearing 2 Schillinge and 4 Schillinge (defective) Duchy of Schleswig Mi 16 and 17. Cancelled
            and datestamped with Prussian two ring ECKERNF6RDE. On reverse framed three line railway
               POST-SPED BUR HAMBURG LUBECK with transit marks Ant V KI0BENHA VN and
                                                   SAND0SUND.
              Correctly franked as set out in "Verordnungsblatt (Official notices) fur das Herzogthum Schleswig Nr. 3 vom 2""
           October 1865 - Circular Nr 47/1865 vom 29.9.1865." This being 6 Schillinge made up from 8 Norwegian Specie Skilling
                                  = 4 Schillinge, and the internal Danish rate of 2 Schillinge. (E)

         22"d December 1865, Envelope sent to Neustettin in  Pommern from Christiansfeld. Paid with three
            I Ya  Schilling Courant Duchy of Schleswig (Mi 15) cancelled and datestamped with Danish Ant VI
            CHRISTIANSFELD with posthorn. on· the reverse three line railway HAMBURG BERLIN.
          The correct rate from the Duchy of Schleswig to Prussia was 4 Schillinge (3 Silbergroschen) and the
                              manuscript 2  represents the Prussian share of the postage.
