Two letters written within days of each other
about New Chapel, -C~IWyn.
A letter written by the Curate of New Chapel in IT I --
Tyn Abbots, Colwyn, Thomas Davies, on 25th
February 1780 addressed to Edmund Chalmer
Esq. at The Grecian Coffee House, Temple,
London which arrived on 1st March, evidenced
by a fine Bishopmark. Also a very fine scarce
LAND/OVERY townmark (W1326). The letter
asks Mr. Chalmer to let him know when "the
Vendor may put the Buildings and Fences in
repair" The letter was charged 8d.

A wrapper to a letter written by Rev. Griffiths on
31 st March 1780 with the scarce "LAND/OVERY"
townmark addressed to Edmund Chalmer Esq.,
Solicitor to the Governors of Queen Anne's Bounty,
at the Grecian Coffee House, Temple where it
arrived on 5th April evidenced by a large Bishop
Mark. The letter was charged 4d.
