Green's Coffee House
31/32, Serie Street, Lincoln's Inn Fields
(1822 - 1847)
Green's Coffee House is located at 31/32 Serle Street, Lincoln's Inn Fields
and was probably originally run under the name "Will's" or "Will's and
Serle's Coffee House" at 7 Serle Street since Mr James Green was the
proprietor of Will's and subsequently also Green's Hotel. He clearly had an
interest in more than one coffee house. The earliest reference to the coffee
house was in 1822 but by 1826 it had changed its name to Green's Hotel.
The final reference is dated 1838 giving the Hotel at 31 /2 Lincoln's Inn
Fields.
