The additional views of the greenish blue confirm that the colour seen is largely a background
from the well dispersed smaller particles and that there occasional patches of deeper clusters
found in the blue shades,
The paler blues found on a receipt stamp and a loose stamp show that the cause is a poor
distribution of the dye on the form, resulting in many blank area. It is not due to a change in
the dye.
There is little difference in appearance of a cut edge and a marginal sheet edge.
