The registration fee was 4d and the book post rate for UPU countries was ld
for the first 2 ozs and ld for every additional 2 ozs or part thereof. This item
was endorsed to the effect that it contained photographs which fell within
the definition of 'printed matter'. However with the postage paid of 4 %d out
of the total of 8Y2d it would seem that this item was sent at the commercial
papers rate of 4Y2d for a weight of 6 to 8 ozs which weight would be
consistent with the weight of photographs and the size of the envelope.
