The wording on the parcel post form which denotes that it was to be used
to places in South Africa only as well as setting out the postal rates. The
imprint date is June 1898.
The postage of 9d is wrong as the postage rates were in even numbers - 4d for the frrst eight ounces and 2d
for each succeeding four ounces up to a maximum of eleven pounds. Extra stamps may have been elsewhere
than on this surviving piece.
