The postal rates to Rhodesia [formerly Mashonaland] were stabilsed on
the 1st August 1892 when Mashonaland was admitted to the South
African Postal Union. The rate for letters was 4d for each V2 ounce and
the registration fee was 4d.
The cds stamps on the back are: T.P.O. Down [black], Registered Bulawayo [red] and Kopje Salisbury
[black] together with the Registered Letter Office Cape Town oval ds [black].
