During the second phase of the video-coding trials samples of real mail continued to be
occasionally processed. On 4 March 1974, the Arcueil 1 language was replaced by Arcueil 2. On
25 March the La Source 1 language was replaced at Orleans by La Source 2 but it was retained
at Arcueil for use in the video-coding trials.
