The Sixpence Stamp 1859 to 1895
‘Dot After Pence’ Variety
The top right stamp on Pane 11 has a variety that was constant from at least 1873. It has not yet been recorded
on the 1st, 2nd or 8th printings. It is not known whether the damage was on the plate when made, or if it
occurred during one of the early printings. The variety appears as a dot immediately after the final E of PENCE.
