Jean de Sperati Forgeries

                                                             Sperati Proof on thin card

Sperati printed his designs by a photo-lithographic process which ensured they were finely produced; they
are very similar to De La Rue proofs. The key difference is in the first ‘R’ of ‘SIERRA’, where most of the
forgeries have a splayed, claw like foot to the letter. All Sperati reproductions are imperforate.
