The college is situated with the City of Freetown. The 1954 post office list
includes Fourah Bay College, but no date of opening has been traced, nor any Bay
evidence that a datestamp existed. The only recorded items that name the college
as an office are a small number of registered covers with the pre-printed labels College
of F.B. College. These are all postmarked at the nearby office of Mount Aureol.
