The change of colour to brown-purple meant that examples were provided for the UPU. A total of 400 copies
were sent. The postal rate changes introduced shortly after this printing was made reduced the need for 6d
stamps.

From 1 October 1892 the letter rate to all UPU countries was reduced to 2½d per half-ounce. This double-
rate letter, including the 2d registration fee, is correctly franked at 7d.
