Resealing Tape Type 1 with Type 1A Handstamp
20 August 1915 - Baiima to Küsnact, Switzerland. Backstamped in Freetown (21 Aug) and on arrival in Küsnact (13 Sep).
The early resealing tapes were printed with
‘Officially sealed.’. This example was additionally
handstamped with the sans serif Type 1A ‘Opened
by Censor’ mark.
This cover also has a small ‘2’ in blue crayon,
possibly the censor’s number.
