Advice of Receipt (AR)
30 January 1947 - Freetown to Yaba, Nigeria
Registered air mail rate of 1s 3d per half-ounce, plus 4d registration paid by the stationery envelope.
The Advice of Receipt fee was 3d, but although this was paid in postage stamps they were affixed to the return
card rather than the original envelope. Note the pin hole marks at the top of the Air Mail label where the
return card was fixed.
