Wellington
Wellington is seven miles from Freetown along the railway. It was founded in
1819 by a group of disbanded servicemen after the Napoleonic Wars had ended.
The village of Waterloo was established at the same date. The post office opened
on 1 October 1892 and remained open until independence in 1961.
