23rd April 1864, Entire letter sent to Odense from
Fredericia in Jutland. Franked with 1863 4 Skilling
cancelled with target numeral canceller 17 and
datestamped Ant Ill FREDERICIA.
The Fredericia post office had returned to the city on April
20'\ where this letter was cancelled, only to abandon the city
and return to Strib across the Little Belt on the island of Fyn on
28th April, where it remained until the $tart of the first
armistice which began on 12t11 May.

post office located temporarily at Strib on Fyn. The letter is marked with manuscript 6 and
bears a eds Ant Ill FREDERICIA. The month slug is an inverted 2.
