6d for Transvaal postage into cape Colony and then 6d in Cape Colony
stamps for the packet rate to the United Kingdom.
The postage to the United Kingdom at this time was 6d for each Yt ounce from the 1st July 1876 until
the 151 October 1888 when the rate went down to 4d for each Yt ounce.
Cape Colony stamps for this type of usage were on sale in the Transvaal.
